François Halard - French (b.1961)

Born 1961 in France, François Halard splits his time working and living in Arles, Paris, Greece, and New York. The internationally renowned photographer-author is perpetually in motion, travelling around the world in his quest to emotionally capture the essence of such locations that inspire him. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Art Decoratifs in Paris, he started his career working for Decoration International, followed by long-standing collaborations with Alex Liberman. In 1984, he crossed the pond and moved to New York, where he was regularly commissioned by Condé Nast publications, such as American Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, and House & Garden. His work has been featured by household luxury brands, e.g., Ralph Lauren, Yves Saint Laurent, and Hermès.
